DR DAVID WALTERS

David  is Honorary Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies at Sydney University.

 He has held senior academic posts at Oxford University (Templeton College), and the Cranfield School of Management in the UK and the universities of Western Sydney (Sydney Graduate School of Management), Macquarie and Sydney University.

David is the author of a series of textbooks covering business and marketing subjects. The last three have had a particular focus  on Value Chain Management, starting with Operations Strategy Palgrave 2002, then Strategic Operations: a Value Chain Approach Palgrave  2007, and finally Managing in the Value Chain Network Prestige 2012.

David has also published extensively in professional journals and presented papers on Value Chain Management at conferences in Australia and internationally.

 David Walters has extensive teaching experience in a wide range of continents including North America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

 In addition to his wide teaching experience he has acted as a consultant for a number of international companies. These include: BOC, CSR, Harrods, Laura Ashley, The Kingfisher Group, Storehouse, British Oxygen Company, Marks and Spencer, Tesco and a number of others.

David  is a founding Principal of Value Chain Network.
